Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter

On behalf of ECWNS, thank you at St Andrews for hosting the shelter these last three days. Your generous serving and support to the shelter is deeply appreciated and making it possible for us to host the guests over the Christmas period.  Also, for the Christmas service collection of £191 towards the work of the shelter.

The provision of the building and layout makes it an effective venue. I sensed the guests felt welcomed and comfortable being themselves. They were going to bed early and that for me is a sign that they are relaxed and able to settle into a good sleep.

I find it so rewarding that as the wider body of God’s people we can join together in being the Kingdom of God and serving Christ, as in the shelter’s foundation verse Matt 25:35 “for I was hungry and you gave me food …. ” . I get much from meeting others from the different parts of the church that are involved across the shelter.

Huge thanks to those at St Andrews who helped in person and those who were invisible. Wonderful to have had Margaret, Peter, Anita and John, as a thread running across the days.
