A number of members of St. Andrew’s visited Oberammergau in 2010 for the Passion Play. It was, by all accounts, an extraordinary experience.
The people of Oberammergau have staged the Passion every ten years since 1634, in gratitude to God for the passing of the Plague from their village.
Planning is already well advanced for the next! The Clerk to General Assembly, Michael Hopkins, is putting together a group from the URC to attend in 2020.

The play will be performed on the 22nd and the ticket is for ‘best seats’. It runs 2.30pm to 1030pm.
The booking includes flights to Munich and coach travel around the Austrian Tyrol, half board. Single room supplement.
£150 deposit is payable, which is fully refundable (under the terms of the travel company’s insurance policy) up until end Jan 2019.
