Past Case Review – deadline extended

Like many other large organisations, the United Reformed Church is conducting a Past Case Review. Phase 1, which has already happened, was to go through the files of all ministers in the URC since it was founded in 1972.

We are now in Phase 2. The URC has issued an open invitation for anyone to raise concerns about the behaviour or conduct of anyone affiliated with the URC since its foundation.

All concerns will be dealt with initially by the Past Case Review team. Resources and pastoral support are available for individuals and churches who raise concerns or who are affected by disclosures.

The URC has now extended the deadline for raising concerns to 30th June 2017. It has also issued new resources to help churches and individuals face up to past concerns. The Past Case Review team will deal with every case raised with sensitivity and in utmost confidence.

If you do have a concern, or any queries, you can contact the Past Case Review team by email or by phone 020 7916 8682.

There is more information on the website and in a leaflet, which I have copies of. You are of course welcome to speak to me about any concerns or questions.
