What are the courses about?
This course is split into three projects, consisting of three classes each as well as a gallery visit, designed to inspire and put what you are learning into context. At the beginning of each project, we will explore a principle or technique along with the work of relevant artists, after which you will be set a brief using your own source material as inspiration. This could, for example, be an object, a memory or a photograph you have found or taken. You will interpret and be supported to work on the brief over the course of 3 classes, completing your work in the final class or at home.
This means that you will have three finished pieces by the end of the course.
This course also includes a gallery visit day, details of which will be provided in class.
About the classes: I am an experienced art tutor, who aims to create a safe and supportive environment for all my students, where you are encouraged to explore your creativity without fear of judgment from others. Artwork created on these courses has been exhibited, with students going on to sell some of their pieces.
